1. Introduction
At Courchesne Larose Ltd and its subsidiaries located in Canada, namely Transport Dynapro Inc., La Paysanne Fruits et Légumes Inc., Les Aliments Bercy Inc., Krops Imports Inc. and Emballages Marcan Inc. (collectively, “Courchesne Larose,” “we,” “us” or “our”), protecting personal information is a priority and we value the trust you place in us. In compliance with the applicable Canadian laws regarding protection of personal information, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada) and the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Quebec), this policy regarding the protection of personal information (the “Policy”) is intended to provide explanations to those people whose personal information is collected, used, disclosed and retained by Courchesne Larose and applies to our customers and suppliers (current, former and future) as well as the natural persons who work for or on behalf of our professional customers and/or suppliers, visitors to the websites of Courchesne Larose (the “Sites”), and all applicants for employment at Courchesne Larose.
The objective of this Policy is to help you understand our practices concerning the collection, use, disclosure and retention of personal information and the choices you have in that regard. Our Sites are also governed by Usage Conditions, which you can consult here.

Personal information means all information (regardless of format) concerning an identifiable individual. 3. What personal information does Courchesne Larose collect?
The information we collect about you includes:
- The categories of information you give us
- Identification information. We may collect your first and last name, postal address, telephone number, email address and date of birth when you contact us on our Sites or through other means.
- Contractual relations. We may collect information on contracts, such as those you have concluded with Courchesne Larose, their start and end dates, the price and possible indexation parameters, and the purchasing and contact history.
- Job application. We may collect the information you share with us when you submit a job application or apply for a position at Courchesne Larose. - Video surveillance. As a safety measure for our visitors and the occupants of our premises as well as to maintain the security of our buildings, we may use a video surveillance system at various locations on our premises. This information collecting is subject to the applicable laws regarding protection of personal information and the information thus collected may be disclosed in certain limited circumstances, as indicated in the How do we disclose personal information? section of this Policy.
4. How do we collect personal information?
- The personal information that we collect directly from you
We collect the personal information that you provide to us directly by interacting with our services. For example, when you contact us using the contact forms on our Sites, you may be asked to enter your name and email address. In addition, when you contact us to ask a question or submit a business proposal, we also collect the information that you provide voluntarily or that we need to answer your question or enter into an agreement with you. Finally, when you contact us through our “Careers” site to apply for a job at Courchesne Larose, we collect the information you submit in your application.
- The personal information that we collect through automated means
We and our suppliers may use cookies and other technologies, such as pixels (small text files that we load in your browser or on your device), web storage and unique ad identifiers, to collect information such as your IP address, your location, your type of browser, your operating system, the pages you view on our website, the pages you viewed immediately before and after accessing the website, and the keywords that you entered on our Sites. We may collect information from various third-party sources (including from our current and potential suppliers and customers, and from employment and recruitment agencies), from sources available to the public (including Google, Facebook and LinkedIn), and from the references that you provide us in your application.
5. How do we use personal information?
We may use your personal information for the following purposes, or otherwise with your consent or as allowed or required by law:
- Provide services. Courchesne Larose collects personal information for general business purposes, including to manage its activities, provide or ensure the delivery of a requested service, or when it is necessary for the security of a service we provide.
- Manage our business activities. We use the personal information of our customers, suppliers and other business partners to evaluate and choose those customers, suppliers and partners, place orders, process payments, maintain our business relationship, establish and maintain responsible business relations with customers and partners, provide continuous service, ensure the security of our computer systems, in particular by keeping activity logs, and manage risks.
- Communicate with you, such as for marketing purposes. We use your personal information to communicate with you in various ways and for numerous reasons, such as to:
- Improve our products and services, and;
- Respond to the requests you submit via the forms on our Sites.
- Process your job application. When you submit a job application or apply for one of our job offers, we may use your personal information for the following purposes:
- Examine your application and evaluate your aptitude to fill the position in question or hold other positions that match your profile;
- Obtain and verify information about you or references with third parties, and;
- Inform you of job offers that might interest you, based on your application.
- For other purposes allowed or required by law. We will not use personal information for other reasons without your consent, unless allowed or required by law, for example to comply with a legal obligation or to protect the rights, including property rights, and interests of Courchesne Larose.
6. How do we disclose personal information?
Your personal information may be disclosed in the following circumstances to achieve the objectives indicated in the How do we use personal information? section of this Policy:
- We may share your personal information with subsidiaries of Courchesne Larose, including with the intracompany departments involved in evaluating your application (for example, Human Resources).
- Service providers. We hire companies and individuals to perform certain tasks on our behalf and/or to provide us with services. These service providers may belong to different fields, such as marketing consulting, website hosting, customer service support, or IT or software solutions. These service providers have access to the personal information necessary to complete their tasks but may not use it for any other purpose.

7. What are your options regarding protection of personal information?

In certain cases, your consent may be “implicit,” which is to say that your agreement is presumed based on your action or inaction at the time your personal information is collected, used or shared. You can withdraw your consent for the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy at any time by sending us written notice, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
Withdrawing your consent may affect the provision of services that you receive or wish to receive since the continued use and disclosure of your personal information may be necessary to make the service available to you. In certain circumstances, legal requirements may prevent you from withdrawing your consent.
8. Security of your personal information
Courchesne Larose implements reasonable administrative, technical and physical security measures to protect the personal information it has in its custody or for which it must prevent unauthorized access, use, modification or disclosure.
Courchesne Larose applies policies and practices to ensure the protection of your personal information. Depending on the volume and sensitivity of the information, what it is used for and the format in which it is held, we implement a combination of measures aimed at protecting your personal information, including:
- Internal policies and procedures that define the roles and responsibilities of our employees, throughout the lifecycle of the information, and limit their access to this information based on their need to access it;
- If the information is collected or held in electronic form, technical protection measures such as firewalls, passwords, antivirus software and other similar measures;
- A designated Privacy Officer to ensure Courchesne Larose’s compliance with the applicable laws regarding protection of personal information;
- Procedures for receiving, investigating and responding to complaints or requests concerning the information handling practices of Courchesne Larose or users’ rights with respect to protection of personal information, reviewed by the Privacy Officer of Courchesne Larose;
- Contractual protections and other measures aimed at ensuring that the service providers with whom we share personal information maintain appropriate safeguards and standards regarding protection of personal information as mentioned above.
9. Retention of your personal information
Courchesne Larose has processes and retention periods for personal information aimed at ensuring that we retain your personal information only for the period of time reasonably necessary for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy or to comply with our legal obligations.
Courchesne Larose undertakes to make reasonable efforts to ensure users’ personal information remains accurate, complete and up to date, to the extent that is necessary to achieve the objectives for which the information has been collected and is to be used. To that end, Courchesne Larose may, from time to time, ask you to confirm the accuracy of your personal information.
10. Transfer of your personal information to countries other than Canada
Some of our external third-party service providers are based outside of Canada, including in the United States, and their handling of your personal information will therefore result in a transfer of information outside Canada. - Your right to access: You have the right to ask us if we are using or holding your personal information. You can also ask us for copies of that information.
- Your right to correct: You have the right to ask us to correct personal information that you consider ambiguous or inaccurate and to make complete information you consider incomplete. You may also have the right to request the correction of your personal information if its collection, disclosure or retention is not authorized by law.

If the changes we make are important, we will highlight them when so required by the applicable laws, in particular by means of a notice on the website courchesnelarose.com, before the changes take effect. We encourage you to consult this page regularly to obtain the latest information on our privacy practices.
By continuing to use our Sites after the modified Privacy Policy has been published, you accept the changes made to the Policy.
